For first-time investors
The honest version, including the part where the answer might be "not yet".
What buying leads will not fix
It will not teach you what a good deal looks like, will not give you a buyer to assign to, and will not make a call go well. A lead handed to someone with no process produces the same result as no lead, and costs more.
If you have never had a seller conversation, spend a few weeks having them however you can before you spend money on them. That skill is what makes a bought lead worth anything at all.
When it does make sense early
When your problem is genuinely that you cannot find anyone to talk to, and you have the time to work what arrives properly. Being first on an exclusive lead is a real advantage for a beginner, because you are not competing against three people who are better at this than you yet.
How to start without wasting money
Set the smallest weekly cap you are comfortable with and keep it there for a month. Work every lead the same way so you are measuring the source rather than your own inconsistency.
Write down what happened on every call. In four weeks that notebook is worth more than the leads were.
Questions people ask
Is there a minimum spend?
You set a weekly cap and can keep it small. Starting small is the right advice for almost everybody.
What if I buy a lead and have no idea what to do with it?
Read our guide on the first call before you dial and follow it literally the first few times. Structure beats improvisation when you are new.
Should I buy leads before I have a buyers list?
If you intend to wholesale, build at least the beginnings of one first. A contract you cannot assign is a worse problem than no contract.
