Why leads are priced in tiers

A seller who has named a date and a seller who is idly curious are not the same product, and charging the same for both only looks fairer.

What the tiers describe

Readiness, as stated by the owner. Not property condition, not equity, not how good the deal might be — those are yours to work out. The tier answers one question: how close is this person to actually moving?

Looking to sell now means a named timeline and usually a price. Looking to sell soon means a real plan without a date. Looking to sell long term means the door is open and nothing more.

Why a flat price is worse for you

Under one price, the cheap leads subsidise the expensive ones, and a supplier has every incentive to send you the cheap ones. Tiered pricing puts the incentive the right way round: we are paid more when we hand you someone closer to signing.

It also lets you buy deliberately. If you have capacity for long follow-up, the lower tier is genuinely good value. If you need conversations this week, it is not, and you should not be nudged into it by a flat rate.

How to buy across tiers

Most buyers should start narrow — one tier, one or two markets — and widen once they know their own contact rate. Widening first just spreads a small budget across more variables than you can read.

Set a weekly cap you would be comfortable spending every week. The cap is a ceiling, not a target, and the point of it is that a busy week never becomes a surprise bill.

Questions people ask

Can I buy only the highest tier?

Yes, and many buyers do. Just expect lower volume: how many sellers say they want to move now is not something a supplier controls.

Does a higher tier mean a better deal on the property?

No. It means the seller is closer to moving. Whether the numbers work is a separate question and entirely yours to answer.

Will my budget be spent even if there is nothing good in my markets?

No. Leads are drawn against a weekly budget you set, and unused budget rolls over rather than expiring.
